Things to Do

The Nature Coast of Florida is an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise.  Steinhatchee is known as the Scallop Capital of the World for good reason.  This sleepy little town wakes up from July to September to welcome in families from around the globe to take part in the best kept “secret” around.

Scallop season isn’t the only reason to visit.  Fishing (inshore, offshore, fly) is wonderful all year round.  Kayaking the pristine coast line and Steinhatchee river is a great way to take it all in and maybe catch sight of a manatee in the winter.  A hike out to Steinhatchee Falls is a fantastic afternoon picnic spot or you can have kayaks delivered to the falls and paddle down to the mouth of the Bay and end your day at Roy’s for a great cocktail at sunset.

Within a short drive, there are a number of beautiful blue water springs and natural lazy rivers to enjoy.
